Some people simply bring you joy. Just the thought of them makes you happy. You thank God they’re in your life. Unfortunately, people can go through life unaware of their importance to you, unless you tell them. So, it’s vital to occasionally let others know they’re appreciated and they’ve made a difference in your life.
We launched the weekly blog, “Strengthened By This Week” (SBTW) one year ago today as follow up to the book, “Strengthened By The Struggle.” Today is the first anniversary of SBTW, and our objectives remain the same, to: (1) encourage and challenge the reader in their Christian discipleship, and (2) promote the spread of the Gospel by presenting the Word of God in practical, applicable, and common sense terms.
Over the past 52 weeks, many of you have been invaluable partners in helping this blog achieve those objectives. Through you, these emails reach family, friends and colleagues in 25 states, and diverse places around the world (Brazil, India, Japan, and Romania). In the midst of busy, congested lives, you’ve taken the time to read and share these thoughts, leave comments, and provide words of encouragement and support. I’m thankful each of you are part of the readership.
In addition to this weekly email, we post each blog on our website (www.strengthendby.com) and FB (www.facebook.com/strengthenedby). Starting today, we are on Twitter (www.twitter.com/strengthenedby (Nat Harley@Strengthenedby)) sending a Tweet to those attuned to that forum. Whatever format suits you, we hope you will continue to follow and share the message presented in the book and the blog.
A friend once noted the words “thank you” seem so simple, yet they verbalize some of our deepest, most heartfelt sentiments as human beings. THANK YOU for allowing me to share these moments with you each week.
